1. The service

ProofSKU is a self-service tool for businesses. It checks product files you upload for possible errors, such as invalid UPCs, empty fields, duplicates and implausible dimensions or weights, and compares them with our catalog. Comparison with our catalog currently covers auto parts. ProofSKU flags possible errors. In the paid corrected file it also fills in or replaces weights and dimensions with values from our catalog where our catalog is sure, and restores leading zeros of UPCs. Every change is listed in the file. Your uploaded file is not changed.

2. Accuracy

ProofSKU is an automated tool and does not guarantee that its results are complete or error-free. Our catalog may contain errors, and a row marked as different from our data is not proof that your data is wrong. Values filled in or replaced from our catalog may also be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing all attributes, including UPCs, weights and dimensions, before using them.

3. Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep access to that mailbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in to your account. ProofSKU is intended for business use.

4. Your files

You must have the right to upload the files you submit. Do not upload files containing personal data about your customers, payment card data or passwords. You keep all rights to your data. See the Privacy Policy for what we store and for how long.

When you upload a file, the option to help improve the catalog is on by default, and you can turn it off before each upload. If it is on, you allow us to keep and use the product facts in that file to improve our catalog: brand, part number, UPC, dimensions and weight. We keep them without your email or file name, and we never take prices, stock, descriptions or any other columns. A value enters our catalog only after it has come from at least two different accounts and passed our checks. Turn the option off for files whose terms do not allow this.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use ProofSKU to extract or rebuild our catalog, bypass usage limits, use multiple accounts to avoid them, interfere with the service or upload harmful files. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Free checks, prices and payment

Each account gets up to 20 free file checks per calendar month, each with a summary, up to 5 rows as they will be corrected, and the price. The first 5 each month also include 20 sample rows. The corrected file is paid. You pay only for rows we fill in or correct, and you see the price before paying. Subscription rows do not roll over to the next month.

Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, which is the seller of your purchase and handles billing, taxes, refunds and subscription payments under its own buyer terms. See our Refund Policy.

7. Result availability

Results are deleted 72 hours after a check. Download your corrected file before then.

8. No marketplace affiliation

ProofSKU is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon, eBay, Walmart or any parts manufacturer. It does not send or publish data to any marketplace on your behalf.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is, and ProofSKU is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, listing suppressions, account actions, marketplace penalties or fees resulting from your use of its results. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may change the service or these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use ProofSKU after a change means you accept it.
